Le Dolmen du Bois Neuf est des rares dolmen avec son tumulus, les pierres qui entourent la chambre funéraire.
Ce dolmen est l'un des trois de Bois-Neufs, les autres sont affaissés et sur terrains privés.
Les fouilles ont montré une occupation
du néolithique moyen puis supérieur après un temps d'abandon. Comme souvent, il se situe sur une pente orienté sud.
Pour accéder au dolmen, il faut se garer près de la route (deux emplacements possibles) et prendre le chemin vers les nord pour 10 minutes de marche.
Au milieu, il faut traverser entre deux champs, le marquage du passage est entre des piquets, très faciles à repérer. Moins facile, c'est le chemin
lui-même, peu entretenu et très végétalisé.
The Dolmen of Bois Neuf is a rare dolmen with its tumulus, the stones that surround the funerary chamber.
This dolmen is one of the three in Bois-Neuf, the others are slumped and on private land.
The excavations have shown an occupation
from the Middle Neolithic and then higher after a time of abandonment. As often, it is located on a south-facing slope.
To access the dolmen, you have to park near the road (two possible locations) and take the path towards the north for a 10-minute walk.
In the middle, you have to cross between two fields, the marking of the passage is between stakes, very easy to spot. Less easy, it’s the path
itself, poorly maintained and very vegetated.

L'accès au Dolmen est public mais reste mal indiqué. En partant de Bévévent l'Abbaye, il faut prendre en direction de Jeansanne et poursuivre au delà vers Bois-Neuf.
Passer le hameaux de Bois-Neuf, quelques centaines de mètres à faire et arriver un étang bordé de sapin coté sud, se garer soit en face, soit un peu plus loin.
Le panneau indicatif marque l'entrée du sentier mais n'est pas visible dans ce sens de la route, d'est en ouest.

Access to the Dolmen is public but remains poorly indicated. Starting from Bévévent l'Abbaye, it is necessary to take the direction of Jeansanne and continue beyond towards Bois-Neuf.
Pass the hamlets of Bois-Neuf, a few hundred meters to go and arrive at a pond bordered by fir trees on the south side, park either opposite or a little further.
The information sign marks the entrance to the trail but is not visible in this direction from east to west.
